Eden Griffin (she/her) is a white settler living and working on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas (also known as Hamilton, Ontario). Eden received her B.F.A. from McMaster University in the Honours Studio Art program in June of 2023, and is now exploring artistic and musical opportunities in her community.
Eden explores sculpture and sound, using found objects, field audio, organic materials, and other materials such as clay and acrylic paint in her works. Eden is interested in the complex relationship between humans and nature and the unending struggle over space that they face against one another in a world affected by climate change. Eden’s work contemplates human impact on natural spaces in the past, present, and imagined futures, and a world conceived where human and nature elements become one.
